一個包裹及一張車票，讓女記者 踏上征途，橫越西藏鹽井、梅裡雪山，雲南大理、怒江、茶馬古道等每一處的車站，解開昔日母親狠心拋下自己的真相。張之亮不眷戀《墨攻》的功名，回歸《籠民》、《流星語》的文藝片路線，拍攝一部獻給父母的電影。改編自台灣作家李家同作品，影片溫婉細膩，中港台演員真情演出，左小青與吳奇隆沿著3千多公里的國界，跟隨攝製隊長征一起走上尋親道路；葉童退盡鉛華，扮演由中年至老年的修女角色。三段父母與兒女的感人的故事，廿多處停泊的車站，淳樸的民風和動人的風光處處，記載著柔情和強韌的親恩。當車票到了希望的終站，一切悲傷和喜悅的溫情，溢于言表。

 

Depois do seu reconhecido êxito DUELO DE ASTÚCIA, Jacob Cheung regressa aos dramas humanos plenos de sensibilidade pelos quais é mais conhecido. Yue, uma jornalista, foi abandonada em bebé e não perdoa os pais que nunca conheceu. Ao fazer uma reportagem sobre a trágica história de uma mulher grávida, Yue fica a saber que a sua mãe adoptiva está a morrer e que o seu último desejo é que Yue conheça a sua mãe biológica. Tendo como pista apenas um bilhete de comboio, Yue embarca numa longa viagem pela China para conhecer a sua mãe e saber por que esta a abandonou.

 

Following period blockbuster A BATTLE OF WITS, Jacob Cheung returns to the sensitive human dramas he’s best known for. Abandoned as a baby, journalist Yue only has resentment for the parents she never knew. While covering a tragic story about a woman and her unborn child, Yue receives news that her foster mother is dying. Her final wish is for Yue to meet her birth mother. With only a train ticket as clue, Yue embarks on a sweeping journey through China to find her mother and the truth behind her abandonment.
