The global spread of the novel coronavirus has brought exceptional challenges to artistic practitioners and to cultural activities. As such, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has been monitoring the situation and will continue to launch various supporting measures. These include providing non-profit performing arts associations with exemption from basic rental fee of the facilities at the Macao Cultural Centre until 31/12/2023, to help the stable recovery of local cultural performing arts.
Rental Waiver Scheme
Rental waiver applicable to booking sessions from 09:00-13:00, 14:00-18:00 & 19:00-23:00. Any other time slots, supplementary services and equipment will be subject to rental charges.
Criteria for application on Rental Waiver
Type of Organization: All applicants under the Rental Waiver must be registered non-profit organizations in Macau and this status is not applicable to co-sponsor organizations.
Nature of event: Activities for which rental waiver is applied for shall seek to enhance art or cultural performances (including rehearsals and extended activities), not limited to performances l only taking place at the Macau Cultural Center.
Applicable venues:Grand Auditorium, Small Auditorium,Box I,Box II, Conference Room,Black Box Multi-purpose, Rehearsal rooms and Studios.
(in the event if the above mentioned criteria is not met, applicants can apply according to the Rental Concessionary Plan)
