Laura is a young girl who has lived a nomadic lifestyle with her circus clown father Bill, who believes that learning happens on the road. Being the little assistant of his dad is exciting but Laura grows tired of this erratic path and aspires to a more conventional and stable life. The young girl’s teacher, Patricia, recognizes her academic potential and helps her secure admission to a private boarding school, challenging her parental relationship. Can free spirit Bill accept the fact that his daughter may not want to follow his footsteps and let her live the life she wants?
