Nielsen: Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 33

Mussorgsky (orch. Ravel): Pictures at an Exhibition
The Italian composer Ottorino Respighi and the French composer Maurice Ravel were both tonal wizards of the 20th century, renowned for their exceptional arrangements and orchestrations. Their respective symphonic adaptations of Russian composer Rachmaninoff’s “Études-Tableaux” (“Study-Pictures”) and Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” became more popular than the original piano versions. Austrian conductor Christian Arming will lead the Macao Orchestra in presenting these two popular adaptations, as well as Danish composer Nielsen’s Violin Concerto, with multiple international competition award-winner, internationally renowned Korean violinist Bomsori Kim. A feast of musical colours not to be missed!
