Co-hosted by Cultural Affairs Bureau and Wynn Resorts (Macau), S.A. and organised by Macao Orchestra Company, Limited, the six-day 1^st Macao International Children’s Arts Festival - Music Camp will commence on 16 August. Music students from overseas and Macao will form a limited-time String Orchestra, led by Joshua Bell, the Grammy Award-winning international violin master, as well as the string musicians from Academy of St Martin in the Fields. The Achievements Concert performed by the String Orchestra will be held on 21 August (Wednesday) at 7:45 pm, featuring Music Camp students’ wonderful performances. Joshua Bell, the soul and life of the Music Camp, together with the string musicians from Academy of St Martin in the Fields, will perform masterpieces by Bach, Tchaikovsky and Vivaldi, including brilliant solos.

In order to allow the public to understand the works behind the scenes of a concert, the organiser will arrange an Open Rehearsal at 10:00 am on the day of the Concert (21 August). Through observing the rehearsal process of orchestra musicians, the public can learn about how a string orchestra prepares for a concert.
