Being the new generation of pianist in Macau, Erica SOU Sin U will perform many evocative selected works, including Beethoven’s Appassionata, Schumann Papillons, and Brahms Variations on a Hungarian Song. Through CRIMSO REVERIE, Erica seeks to take the audience beyond the notes, bringing them through an unforgettable musical journey. We welcome you to immerse yourself in this evening of music where passion and artistry meet.
Erica begins her piano studies at an early age and previously she was admitted to the Junior Music Programme at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2015, receiving scholarships over the years, where she studied with Professor Eleanor Wong. She is currently studying with Professor Colin Stone at the Royal Academy of Music.
Erica has performed as a soloist and an ensemble musician in concerts throughout Europe and Asia. After her debut solo recital in Hong Kong and Macau, she recently conducted a chamber recital Strings Rhapsodia, which brought her great success.
She has well awarded in domestic and international competitions over the years. Including top prizes in several years of the Macao Young Musicians Competition, she was also the Champion and First Prize winner in the Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition, China Xian KAWAI Asia Piano Competition, Osaka International Music Competition, PREMIA International Young Artists Music Festival, United States Open Music Competition, Grand Metropolitan International Music Competition, Nobel-Artist International Music Competition. Her performance was published on public music streaming channels including Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
This recital is part of the Macau Greater Bay Area Young Artist Series, supported by the Macao Cultural Centre, organized by the Macau Greater Bay Area Music & Art Association, co-organized by Macau Piano Technician and Tuner Association, and Dr. Art Education Center.
