Symbiotic Dance in Full Bloom and Documentary Screenings with Heart

Symbiotic Dance in Full Bloom
There is no standard for one’s perspectives and beauty, only different perceptions and interpretations. Regardless of our body shapes, we can dance and deserve to be appreciated. The concept of symbiotic dance is “Everyone Can Dance”, and each individual is a unique dancer. Inclusive dance, grounded in the spirit of respecting diversity and embracing equality, empowers everyone to enjoy their movement, breaking free from inner constraints and recognizing their unique existence.
The performance brings together dancers of various abilities, including those with physical and mental disabilities, to express their deepest feelings through movement and create a symbiotic dance that is unique to Macao.
“I never thought that I could dance until my first encounter with symbiotic dance.” — Chon, a dancer with osteogenesis imperfecta
“Symbiotic dance connects me to the world, allowing me to feel joy and freedom.” — Longfei, a dancer known as Old K
“Since I have been exposed to symbiotic dance, I rediscovered the lively self I was before I fell ill at 16.” — Shiwen, a dancer with physical disabilities

Documentary Screenings with Heart
The rise of digital videos has transformed the relationship between filmmakers and filmmaking. With the growing number of media streaming devices in homes, filmmakers are now tasked with creating compelling stories for the big screen that entice audiences to venture out of their living rooms and experience them in a movie theatre.
A film is a window that allows us to explore worlds we’ve never encountered; it is a presentation of images and sounds and a heartfelt dialogue between the audience and the characters. This year’s Todos Fest! presents three remarkable films to the audience. Each of these films offers a unique perspective on the human experience, with The Reason I Jump delving into the inner world of individuals with autism, Only I Can Hear exploring the challenges of deafness, and The Manor shedding light on physical and mental disabilities. What's more, Comuna de Pedra has produced two documentaries that unfold gripping and touching stories of individuals with physical and emotional disabilities. The programme guides us into these unique realms of perception, broadening our horizons and inviting us to explore the possibilities of diversity and inclusion.
