World-renowned violinist Ning Feng will collaborate with the Singapore National Youth Orchestra for a passionate performance that guides the audience across regions and through musical eras, from modern works to classical symphonies, exploring dazzling sounds from Baroque to contemporary. Music is not only a showcase of technique but also an exchange of emotions and a confluence of cultures.
Conductor Joshua Tan, the current Music Director of the Singapore National Youth Orchestra, will lead the orchestra to present a music feast. The programmes include Tony Makarome’s “Echoes from the Heartland” which is the premiere performance in China by this 3-stop touring, Shostakovich’s “Violin Concerto No. 2 in C-Sharp minor, Op. 129”, and Dvorák “Symphony No. 6 in D major, Op. 60”. The Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra will also join hands to perform an arrangement by Stokowski of Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565” with the Singapore National Youth Orchestra, allowing young musicians from both regions to lead the audience in experiencing cultural exchange through music.
