We will sway in our chairs, marvelled with a beautiful world of ropes, yarn and knots, intricately woven into a serene handicraft scenery. Brought by Cirkus Cirkör, Knitting Peace is a poetic contemporary experience and a jaw-dropping performance by five daredevil artists and a cool musician.
Striving for a better world in the face of uncertainty, physically aiming for the impossible, the acrobats jump into action, unveiling a breath-taking, gravity defying choreography. Moving to the sound of original music played live, inspired by the crackling of knitting needles, the performers cling and merge into beautifully crafted installation-like structures.
Celebrated as Cirkör’s most beloved and successful show of all time, Knitting Peace sums up the irreverent, urban spirit of a company who has been travelling the world experimenting and collaborating with artists as diverse as the iconic, prolific composer Philip Glass, often merging circus tradition with opera.
