Lucas Tong is an exceptionally talented young musician. He stood out in the 41st Macau Young Musicians Competition in 2023 and won the "Cultural Bureau Award," as well as the first prize in the "Solo Category" and "Piano Concerto Category." Starting to learn the piano at the age of 3, Lucas has a deep passion for music. He has been fortunate to receive dedicated guidance from his parents, teachers, and music professionals, and has won awards and attended masterclasses in domestic and international competitions in Macau, Hong Kong, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Taiwan, Hungary, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, and Japan. He has also participated in various musical performances.
In 2019, he was invited to participate in a charity music album and music video titled "I want ..." recorded by Hong Kong singer Eason Chan, internationally renowned soprano Renée Fleming, and Chinese pianist Lang Lang. In the music video, Lucas played the role of a young Lang Lang and personally played the piano. This was a rare opportunity, as Lucas was personally selected by Lang Lang himself, indicating that his talent has been recognized by the industry. This Recital will primarily present works from the Romantic period and the 21st century, allowing the audience to enjoy the musical feast brought by Lucas Tong.
